Make Good Food – Black Bean Hummus
Who doesn’t like a good hummus, with crackers, chips, or veggies? We love hummus (see our recipe for chickpea hummus with Curryosity kraut), but like many people we tire of the same old thing. So we decided to spice things up a bit by making a wonderful new hummus with organic black beans, mixing in our Purple Hot & Spicy kraut to bring a whole new layer of flavor to the idea of hummus. We get really great feedback from everyone we share this with, so we expect you will, too!
Black Bean Hummus
- 1 can black beans
- ¼ – ½ cup Purple Hot & Spicy kraut
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 Tbsp tahini
- 2 Tbsp lime or lemon juice
- ½ tsp cumin
- ¼ tsp salt
- Blend all ingredients in a food processor until combined.
- Serve with chips, crackers or veggies. Or spread on a wrap as a bed for other ingredients.
